This week I transferred to the Pines ward. It is crazy because my new southern border was my northern border when I was in Miami Lakes, but this is a whole different universe! It is one of the wealthiest areas in South Florida...and well, you can search Opa-locka in Google. haha.
We had MLC this week and I am so excited about a couple of changes that are coming to the mission. It is so cool to see the progress we have made and the changes are centered around helping missionaries have more flexibility over what their area needs.
A list of random things:
Friends you make in the mission are the best kind of friends. I am so grateful for my companions.
My granddaughter (in the mission, lol) is way cool.
"God will use you, god will bless you." read it. It's a way good talk. I know God listens to us beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Sis. Abad is way cool. She is an awesome dancer. I kinda-ish learned how to floss (dance) last night. hahahahaahaha.
I love you all so much and I am grateful to be here!
Apparently my years of teaching swim lessons to children didn’t teach me anything, because I plan to one day teach children to speak as a speech therapist. But we all know that my major will probably change at least three more times.
If I’m upset, I’m probably going to be at the pool. I guess it’s more socially acceptable to punch the water than to take it out on people.
I’m blonde, blue eyed, and on February 4th, 2015 I leave to spend a year and a half on the beaches of Florida hoping I don’t get beat up for my gringa Spanish speaking skills while serving an LDS mission.
