I kinda lost track of time this week so I don't have a lot of time to write, but Jennifer and her son got baptized! She is AMAZING and such a huge example of being ready to change. We went over Sunday night after her confirmation and wanted to watch part of the Joseph Smith movie with her. When we walked in, she showed us that she has been listening to Mormon Channel Radio (they play conference talks from past years). Then we sat down, pulled out her I-pad and she sees the video and says "Oh yeah, I've watched this video twice. It is really good!"
...the hour long movie about Joseph Smith? Twice? Yes. And just about every other Mormon Message on Mormon Channel. She has such a strong testimony and is really an example of people that were only kept from the truth because they knew not where to find it. I am so impressed by her and she reminds us every time she sees us that she is going to Utah again in five years so we will see her then! It has also been amazing to see the changes in her son. He has gone from not wanting to even look up from his phone screen when we were there to talking to us and saying prayers during lessons. :)
My companion's sister is getting married and she is working on a project that includes flowers. There are tons of different types here, and since Jennifer was baptized we've been looking for new people to teach. So this week involved a lot of knocking but we entertained ourselves by looking for different flowers on the sidewalks...and by sidewalks I might mean yards, but that's not stealing right? haha.
Also, a cool thing that happened that just shows how amazing our ward is. We had correlation before church on Sunday and the bishop found out we would be knocking a LOT this week and looked at the room and said "We have another correlation at 12:15. All of you need to be here." At 12:15 he said "Our sisters should never have to knock doors. We are not here to help them, they are here to help us. Almost all of you are RMs and know what this is like and all of you better have referrals and ideas to improve their schedule next Sunday." Like, what? I love that man! He is awesome! Our ward is seriously fantastic and I am so glad for the chance I've had to work with them. I seriously hope I am here for at least another transfer!!
Sorry this week was super boring and I don't have a whole lot to talk about. But I love and miss all of you so much! Have a great week!
