...I'm really starting to run out of things to write about.
For those that have finals next week, good luck! I'm not even jealous.
For those that went to Nat's farewell, I really am jealous. I love you Natalie! You are going to do amazing things in Chile and my mission daughter is going to come find you in about 15 months!
This week was a good one. We are finding tons of opportunities to do service, which has made me excited and has made our afternoon hours 100x more productive. The JustServe website is the bomb. You should all check it out.
We went to Hutchinson Island for a dinner and there is a crazy huge house on there! I think you can find pictures on Google. I guess the guy was on The Rich and Famous or something? He invented software for something...anyway, his Christmas lights were up and it was i.m.p.r.e.s.s.i.v.e. I love seeing the lights up everywhere; it is hard to believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!
We had a ward Christmas party that was sweet.
Sis. Morrow got super sick so I sat in a doctor's waiting room for a while. Took a selfie. Memorized a couple cities off of a globe. Read a poster about high blood pressure. You know, what everyone does in a waiting room when you don't have a smart phone.
Something that I have thought about a lot this week is Moroni 7:27-29. He talks about miracles not ceasing and about still have miracles in our lives today, and I have found that to be so true. God has not changed. He continues to reach out His hand to us today in the same ways he has done throughout all of history. I have also learned, however, how much we must seek those miracles. We have to have real intent and be willing to act.
I love and miss you all so much! I hope you are enjoying the Christmas season! I miss you TONS!
Love,
Sister Bren Scadden
